The Linger In is a perfect place for a couple to have a romantic getaway, for a family reunion, or for a group friends to get together. Tucked in a wooded area and overlooking the picturesque Tygart Valley and Cheat Mountains from the front, this is a great place to set your own schedule, take day trips to attractions in this beautiful area of the Mountain State, or just relax around the house.

Linger In is a non-hosted vacation facility. Be it two people or a group of friends, you will have the house to yourselves because you rent the whole house. Open all year, the home was built at the turn of the century and is decorated with antiques, art, and period furnishings.

There are six bedroom, each with its own special decor. Four rooms have full-sized beds, one has a queen, and the other a king. A fireplace adds a bit of special charm to the king bedroom. There are two bathrooms. The spacious living room offers quiet space or a special place to gather around the fireplace with friends and family. There are shelves of books to browse through, old records to play, and VCR and cable television.

You may enjoy cooking in the large country kitchen, where you will have all modern equipment alongside the charm of a country setting. Dine in the kitchen nook at an old county table, in the separate dining room, or select one of the great restaurants in the area. You will find a picnic table and grill on the covered porch off the kitchen. The house has a total of three covered porches.

A 22 x 44-foot heated swimming pool is on the grounds for you to enjoy. Relax in the warm water or sit on the deck and view the beautiful scenery around you. Just outside your door, you can take a walk on trails through the woods, or sit on one of the covered porches and you will probably spot deer and other wildlife. Across the street is a dairy farm where children of all ages can take a tour, feed baby calves, and enjoy a real farm experience.

Linger Inn is a wonderful place for family reunions, friends getting together, or a private retreat. Your hosts invite you to visit them and enjoy the natural beauty of West Virginia -- any season of the year is a special time.

There's a reason for the seasons -- and Linger In offers something wonderful and different for each of them. Winter months find guests enjoying Snowshoe Mountain Year-round Resort, where downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and tubing are available. Horseback riding is a year-round sport. Spring, Summer, and Fall find visitors taking short trips to the Cass Railroad and other smaller railroads in the area, climbing Seneca Rocks, and enjoying Snowshoe Mountain. Other attractions include Rich Mountain Battlefield, where a decisive Civil War battle was fought, as well as State and National Forests and the National Radio Observatory.
