Dave's Granola

Our cabin guests frequently ask for my granola recipe. Here it is ahead of your stay! This recipe will serve 2 people 14 servings - two weeks for breakfast, unless you eat it twice a day like I do. Remember to use all organic ingredients to increase the planet's and your life span.

Ingredients

4 cups whole grain oats

2 cups rye flakes

1-1/2 cups kamut flakes (optional, but delicious)

1-1/2 cups coconut

1-1/2 cups chopped nuts or sunflower seeds

2 cups raisins

3/4 cup canola oil

3/4 cup maple syrup

1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla or almond extract.

Mix oats, rye, kamut, coconut, nuts / seeds, and raisins in a large bowl. In a saucepan, warm oil, syrup and extract. Mix everything together. Place on two lightly oiled pizza pans. Bake at 275 degrees for 30 minutes.
