Wade's Mill
Located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Wade's Mill is a working water-powered flour mill listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This historic mill is something not to be forgotten in your day's excursions; browse around and visit their shop, filled with handmade items made by local artisans. The shops features pottery, hearthwork basketry, and a "Cook's Corner" with staples you need to cook and bake with their flours. Cooking classes and special events are often hosted during the year as well.
McCormick Farm
McCormick Farm, home to Cyrus McCormick and the first reaper used in the U.S., is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For centuries, grain had been harvested by hand, but McCormick's reaper harvested grain in five times faster than any previous method, with a fraction of the effort. McCormick Farm, named the Shenandoah Valley Agricultural Research and Extension Center today, become a part of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and Sate University (Virginia Tech) in 1954. In keeping with the tradition of McCormick, the Research and Extension Center provides research and information to continually improve agriculture and the quality of life for everyone.
Stonewall Jackson House
The Stonewall Jackson House at 8 East Washington Street was the only home that General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson ever owned. Built in 1801, it is a modest brick house listed on The National Register of Historic Places. Restored in 1979 by the Historic Lexington Foundation, the Stonewall Jackson House is furnished with many of Jackson's own possessions as well as period pieces listed in Jackson's 1863 estate. Guided tours, conducted several times a day, provide information of Jackson's family and early life and the community in which he lived.
Natural Bridge
For the Monacan Indians who discovered it, this rock bridge, one of the seven natural wonders of the world, became a sacred site. Today, the natural formation has transpired into today's Natural Bridge with its Cedar Creek Trail and the Natural Bridge Inn and Conference Center. While here, enjoy the natural Bridge Caverns, a wax museum and factory, a homemade fudge shop, and Virginia's largest gift shop.

Carriage Tours of Historic Lexington, Virginia
The Lexington Carriage Company offers an intriguing way for you and yours to tour this unique 19th-century college town. Slowed to the pace and rhythm of hoof-beats, horse-drawn carriages travel the streets moving through Lexington and its history. Ghost Tour of Lexington, Virginia
