In the wooded Village of Camelback, two
three-level corner townhomes are scenically situated on the
mountain in the heart of the Poconos, where you can find the
very best skiing and all seasons of sporting activities.
Each townhome is recently expanded and
handsomely furnished with three comfortable bedrooms and two
and one-half baths, sleeping eight to ten people with plenty
of room.
The townhomes come fully equipped with
amenities such as phone, 36-inch TV/VCR, cable, and stereo. In
the kitchen, a microwave, dishwasher, and cooking utensils are
all readily available, as are a washer and dryer. A wooden,
wrap-around deck hugs the inviting living room with a snuggly
fireplace. The deck holds lounge chairs, a redwood table, and
gas barbecue, all at your disposal for summer use. One home
features a private deck outside the master bedroom, creating
quiet comfort in a private setting.
Something especially appealing at the
Village is the Sport Center, just a short walk from each
house. A very contemporary, half glass-enclosed indoor
pool with a great view of the outdoors is housed in the
center for aquatics in any season. A whirlpool, saunas, and
weight room are on-site to be used at your leisure, making
sure you have no excuses for missing those morning workouts.
There are indoor and outdoor tennis courts ready to play any
time of year.
There are several great restaurants in the
neighborhood with unique cuisine. Barley Creek micro-brewery
indulges both great food and drinks in an informal atmosphere.
Sample some of their special lager and stout made with hearty
barley, wheat, and hops. Smuggler's Cove, another local eatery
in Camelback Mountain, is famous for its fabulous menu.
Nightclubs and bars are just a short drive
away, and shows and dancing are also nearby at some of the
major Pocono resorts. No matter how much you celebrate your
stay at night, remember what one four-letter word guests spout
when asked why they came to the Poconos: snow! |
Camelback, the largest ski area in the
Pocono region of Pennsylvania, has 33 slopes and 11 lifts,
including two high-speed quads. In addition, Camelback has a
separate snow tubing park with tows and tubes for up to eight
persons.
Don't be discouraged if summertime finds
you a bit off-season in the ski department; the ski area is
transformed into Camel Beach, which offers all types of summer
fun. There are seven water slides, bumper boats, a lazy river,
a wave pool, and an Olympic-size swimming pool as well as
kiddie pools and water play area. In addition, there are also
two alpine slides, scenic air lift rides, miniature golf, and
restaurants on both the top and bottom of the mountain plus an
outdoor bar, barbecues, food, and entertainment. Golf,
horseback riding, river rafting, fishing, paint ball,
basketball, movie theaters, a children's park, and all kinds
of shopping are also situated in your area. In fact, the
Crossings' Factory Outlet with over 80 name-brand outlets is
just a few minutes away.
