If
you vacation in New Mexico you will soon understand why
they call it the "Land of Enchantment". New
Mexico possesses ancient cultures, world-famous cuisine,
diverse landscapes, Native American art, renowned museums,
pueblos, and abundant recreation and wildlife. The
cultural influence of Indian cliff-dwellers, Spanish
conquistadors, the Catholic church, to European immigrants
New Mexico is as colorful in its people as it is in its
landscape. To this day the Indian, Hispanic, and Anglo
cultures mix their, traditions, and talents, and yet they
remain distinct. New Mexico is famous for its amazing
natural beauty and ancient past. From dinosaurs to
volcanos to Native American Anasazi ruins there is so much
that will fascinate you. As you drive through this state,
you can't help but notice how the sunlight plays through
the landscape with the same vibrant colors of Native art
with its reds, browns, blues, turquoise and sun golds.
Recreation is high notch here too.
Skiing,
fishing,
hiking and biking. The major town of Albuquerque, Santa Fe
and Taos are the big draws, but there are fascinating
towns throughout the state that will captive you with
their hospitality,
bed and
breakfast inns, ranches and towns.
