Illinois,
land of Lincoln, is really land of the presidents. It was
home to Abraham Lincoln and his Presidential Library and
Museum is in Springfield. President Ronald Reagan was born
in Peoria, and Ulysses S. Grant's home can be seen near
Galena. Thousand come to be in the exciting city of
Chicago 'that toddlin town' on the shore of Lake Michigan.
Illinois has something for everyone: world-class shopping,
historic sights, indoor and outdoor adventures. Its
a geographically, historically and culturally diverse
state. Two of its borders are dominated by impressive
bodies of water. Lake Michigan on the northern east and
the mighty Mississippi defining its western border. And
lodging choices in Illinois offer a wide range of choices
from city lofts high above Chicago, to mountain cabins in
Galena, to bed and breakfast throughout all to make your
feel at home.
