California's Ocean Front Beach Bungalow Vacation Home fronts
Santa Cruz's famous Pleasure Point Beach on Monterey Bay, a
favorite spot to watch surfers ride the waves.
This two-bedroom, two-bath, redwood beach rental also fronts
the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary. Guests say they love the
backyard for its privacy and hot tub and the front porch for
its vantage point. From the front porch, you have a wonderful
view of the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Cruz Mountains, and the
surfing that has made Pleasure Point Beach so popular. And if
you get a hankering to take a day trip, Monterey and Carmel
are 40 minutes away, Silicon Valley is 30 minutes away, and
San Francisco is 1-1/2 hours away.
The bungalow is designed to sleep up to six people. Lodging
accommodations include two master bedrooms, living room with
an ocean view, fully equipped kitchen with dining area, and a
seaside sun porch. There's also an inside laundry room, a
digital safe for storage of valuables, and a storage shed in
the backyard. And for your convenience, the closets are
stocked with towels, linens, pillows, blankets, and paper
products (paper plates, trash bags, and the like).
One of the bedrooms looks out onto the ocean, while the
other looks out into the lushly landscaped backyard. The
master in the front of the house has one queen bed, and the
second in the rear of the house has two. Each bedroom has its
own bathroom with shower as well as a TV/VCR combo.
The living room's walls and ceilings utilize the home's
original redwood logs, rich in tone and elegant in their
simplicity. A cozy brick fireplace serves as the room's focal
point and is flanked by windows that provide stunning views of
the ocean. The room's furnishings include two recliners, a
comfy sofa, and a small computer desk. There's also a 31-inch
TV with VCR and cable, as well as a stereo with CD player.
The kitchen, fully equipped with cookware and dishes,
includes all the appliances you would expect to find in your
own home, and the room's dining area offers a tranquil
backyard view. Alternatively, you may choose to dine on the
enclosed sun porch, which, like the living room, offers
spectacular views of the ocean. The porch features a tiled
floor and is appointed with wicker furniture. Of course, you
can also dine in the fully enclosed backyard, which comes not
only with a deluxe hot tub, but also a dining table, gas
grill, hammock, and lounge chairs. |
Although the bungalow is private and secluded, it's only a
few minutes away from the ever-popular Yacht Harbor and all of
the entertainment venues of downtown Santa Cruz, the Santa
Cruz Beach & Boardwalk, Capitola, and Soquel. In fact,
you'll find that Santa Cruz offers everything from water
sports to shopping to Shakespearean theater.
At Pleasure Point Beach, though, the focus is on riding the
waves, which in California translates into everything from
body surfing to wind surfing to boogie boarding. So whether
you want to hang ten, watch whales, go fishing, dive for
coral, paddle a kayak, crank a jet ski, or sail either above
or on the water, the perfect venue awaits you somewhere on the
bay. And if you need outfitted for anything, there are plenty
of equipment rentals in Santa Cruz.
Other points of interest include the Santa Cruz Beach
Boardwalk and the Roaring Camp & Santa Cruz Big Trees
