Nestled in a lovely redwood grove on the
banks of the Russian River, the Redwood Tree House is one of
California Wine Country's top rated vacation rental
properties.
The warm and comfortable Main House and
romantic "La Casita" studio bungalow offer guests
several convenient rental options. Every corner of the home
exudes warm ambience and comfort. Furnishings, artwork and
accessories have been carefully chosen by the owners to
reflect the home's colorful history and riverside setting.
Many guests have commented on the lovingly tended landscaping
and flowers, inside and out.
Charming,
Entertaining and Spacious... Each room of Redwood
Tree House has been tastefully decorated with individual
character, comfort, and ambience in mind. The result is the
preservation of the home's historic charm with just the right
mix of contemporary styling. All the comforts of home are
provided, including quality linens, towels, dinnerware,
cooking utensils, and deck cushions. A complete stereo sound
system is available in the Main House, as well as a 27-inch
color TV (cable) wired for CD, DVD, and VHS playback. The
vintage stone fireplace in the living room is easily switched
on with a remote control, offering a glowing fire whenever
desired. (Cable TV and gas fireplace are also installed in La
Casita.) A washer and dryer are also available for guest use.
Healdsburg,
Crown Jewel Of Sonoma County... One of California's
renowned scenic and recreational wonderlands, the Healdsburg
area boasts a dazzling array of river activities and
wine-tasting options. Rafting and canoeing are popular
attractions, and the river in front of Redwood Tree House is
clear and slow, making it ideal for swimming and floating.
From Redwood Tree House, it's less than three miles to
Healdsburg's wonderful town square. Here you'll find a
delightful array of quaint and eclectic shops, great
restaurants, bars and bistros, yummy bakeries, tasting rooms,
live music concerts, a "first-run" movie theater,
and much more.
Special
Amenities... The owners are pleased to offer
special amenities to make your stay more enjoyable, including:
a secluded outdoor HOT TUB overlooking the river, free high
speed cable wireless Internet (WiFi hot spot) and house
computer, cable TV, FREE local and long distance phone
calling, high quality cotton bed linens, and new appliances.
Other optional amenities offered include in-home chef-prepared
meals; wine tastings on the deck; limousine wine tours;
rafting and fishing trips; bicycle tours; in-home massages;
and more. Please inquire at time of booking.
Golf...
There are two challenging courses in the area. Healdsburg's
nine-hole Tayman Park Golf Course features some of the most
picturesque views in Sonoma County and attracts golfers of all
skill levels. Nearby Windsor's 6,650-yard, par-72 championship
course is a short 15-minute drive from Redwood Tree House.
Windsor Golf Club traverses a year-round creek, lakes, and oak
trees and has played host to six PGA Nike Tour events.
Wineries
And Attractions... Healdsburg is the "epicenter"
of the Northern California wine country. It's the ideal place
to explore the award-winning wines of Sonoma County (Napa and
Mendocino, too!). In fact, there are more than 60 different
wineries to choose from within 10 miles of Redwood Tree House.
The owners provide a complete list of wineries, menus, events,
and area attractions in attractive guest notebooks.
Casinos...
For those interested in testing their luck, nearby River Rock
Casino offers 1,600 state-of-the-art slot machines, including
video poker, progressives, and many popular machines. There
are also 16 tables featuring Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker,
and Blackjack; offering the most liberal rules in the San
Francisco Bay Area.
Best
Times to Visit... Summer month reservations fill up
quickly, so advance bookings are strongly recommended. Spring
and Fall months are normally less crowded, but are becoming
more popular each year because the weather is very pleasant
and the scenery is picturesque. Winter is the "secret"
season, a great time to escape with friends or family to your
own riverside hideaway. |
Redwood Tree House has been
featured in national publications, including
Wine Enthusiast Magazine,the
New York Times, and
Marin Independent Journal.
It was also showcased on The
Fine Living Channel's "Around the World in 80 Homes."
The property takes its name from towering redwoods
surrounding the home -- including a 150-foot giant growing
straight up through the middle of the house, encased in glass.
A
Natural Paradise... Redwood Tree House guests enjoy
the home's many special amenities, including the spacious
wraparound deck overlooking the Russian River and an
enchanting fern grotto with secret pond and secluded hot tub.
A lush front lawn leads to a separate riverside patio, and
easy access to the water. Sweeping river views command
attention from every corner of the property. And, thanks to an
undeveloped green belt, the opposite side of the river remains
in its natural state, preserving the peace and tranquility of
the entire area.. It's not unusual to see fish jumping in the
river and heron, egrets, osprey, cormorants, deer and other
wildlife all year long.
