But there is also plenty of fun in the sun with concerts in the plaza and the Guitar Festival in August, as well as wonderful culinary delights to be sampled at the autumn harvest.

The area in and around Healdsburg is abundant with natural beauty and delicious wineries. Tour the spectacular wineries in Sonoma County, over 50 well-known vineyards and tasting rooms are close by.

Rent a canoe to travel down the Russian River. Lake Sonoma and Warm Springs Dam are but 10 miles north. Swim, fish, play tennis or even view the river and vineyards from a hot air balloon. For the golf enthusiast there is a nine hole municipal course just down the road that is fun and challenging and just south in Santa Rosa there are a few award-winning 18-hole courses.
