Yosemite from a charming rustic
log cabin!
The Sierra Nevada Mountains runs north and south through
the eastern part of California. The Southern part of the
Sierra is home to one of the most beautiful National Parks
in the Country. Yosemite with its Glacier Point and Half
Dome, it has been photographed by Ansel Adams and others
who has celebrated with way the light play on the dome,
along the waterfalls and through the meadows. The small
town of "Ahwahnee" from the Indian name for the
largest Indian Village in Yosemite Valley sits at the
south entrance of the park.

in the mining towns, now vacation villages of Jamestown,
Groveland and Sutter Creek where gold was discovered.
Visit Mariposa Grove to gaze in wonder at giant Sequoia
trees, some over five hundred years old. Hike, bike, swim
and explore Yosemite National Park, Ski Badger Pass and
fish Bass Lake Recreation Area.
