Performance

GENERAC II is the most powerful, fully automatic, enclosed generator of its size available anywhere. The liquid-cooled models deliver up to 25,000 watts of backup electric power and the air-cooled model produces 8,000 watts. That's enough electricity for most homes and small-to-medium-sized businesses. They are quiet, reliable, and loaded with special features:

• Automatic engine start/stop
• Automatic electric load transfer to the "live" source of electricity
• Automatic 7-day exerciser ensures your system is ready for any emergency
• Overspeed/ low oil/ high temperature/ low coolant level (liquid-cooled only) shutdown and anti-overcrank protects the engine during extended power outages
• Battery charger keeps the engine starting circuit ready under any conditions
• Main circuit breaker protects the generator from overload
• Hour meter monitors operating time for scheduled preventive maintenance

Microprocessor technology

A generator this advanced relies on its brain, a sophisticated microprocessor control center. This powerful system monitors incoming utility voltage twenty-four hours a day. If the voltage drops below a preset value, the generator engine starts up automatically. The result: your electrical systems continue to operate, even while the surrounding community may be blacked out. When the crisis is over, the electrical load transfers back to utility power automatically, the engine cools and is then shutdown. The system is again ready for the next utility power outage.

Advanced power plant

Our engine/generator package offers performance second to none. The use of a V-twin, overhead valve industrial (OHVI) engine with full-pressure lubrication provides quiet, long life operation. All of Generac II's engines are protected by low oil pressure and high temperature shutdowns. Generac II also has a generator featuring displaced-phase excitation with automatic voltage regulation to produce clean power and maximize motor starting capability.

Automatic transfer switch

Unlike most "systems", Generac II include an automatic transfer switch (standard equipment on air-cooled models). This device will ensure your vital electric loads are powered, even when you are not there. No manual switching, extension cords, etc. Just reliable electricity, automatically. And for your safety, the standard 100 amp, 2 pole transfer switch is U.L. listed.
