Ingredients - Crust:

1/2 cup shortening

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cup flour

1/2 cup water

1 tablespoon oleo

Ingredients - Filling:

1 pound ground BEEFALO

2 cups diced potatoes

1/2 cup grated or ground carrots or rutabaga (or some of each)

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Filling: Mix all ingredients well.

Crust: Mix crust ingredients as for a pie crust. Roll out crust to make three 6-inch circles. Fill circles 3/4 full of filling mixture. Fold circles over and seal the edges. Brush with milk and bake at 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.

Serves: 2 (if really hungry) or 3
