Materials, objects and images find new life and purpose with our April Exhibit artists. The Whipple family are masters at collecting and re-creating their varied, mixed-media works. Marty Whipple's imaginative 'wearable sculpture' pieces are delightful to see and wear. John Whipple's mixed-media creations, like the different faces he paints, are unique in personality and material. Lynn Whipple, well know for her mixed-media "Ninnies," show us how it is done with new-to-us faces from old photographs with a whimsical nostalgia. Newcomer Kathy Jacobs joins the mixed-media crew with her rendition of found-object sculptures.

River Gallery is located in a turn-of-the- twentieth century building that enhances the artistic experience. Walk through open archways into exhibit rooms showcasing an extensive collection of regional, national, and international fine art and craft, including paintings, sculptures, and studio art glass.
