Late September into Early October: Mountain State Forest Festival: The largest festival in West Virginia. It has developed through more than half a century into a week of exciting entertainment, colorful exhibits, and athletic competitions including the 10K walk/run plus contests and exhibits for a wide range of enthusiasts; from mountain bike racers and lumberjacks to artists and historians.
