Did you know that
the first golf course in America is in West Virginia.
Nature has done most of the designing of West Virginia's
golf courses. The mountains, valleys, foliage and views
have been waiting for savvy architects to apply the
finishing touches. Because every parcel of land is unique,
each course is unique. Some range along the mountain
sides. Others follow winding streams through cool valleys
shaded by age-old trees. Conditions are ideal from May
through October. West Virginia is typically cooler than
most of the Mid-Atlantic region, and the climate keeps the
fairways and greens lush and inviting. |
