Eagle Centre House, an authentic replica of an 1846 Greek Revival-style stagecoach inn, is a welcome refuge for weary travelers Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest.

Today, the inn provides guests with the same friendly welcome as the inns from the mid-1800's, but with vastly superior comforts. Here, guests can relax and enjoy the best that life had to offer a century ago with the conveniences of the present.

Eagle Centre House is built on a high point of sixteen secluded acres in scenic Kettle Morraine. The house stands three stories high and is painted a gleaming white, and a colonnaded veranda leads you to the front door. From the front parlor to the third-floor bedrooms, you will enjoy the splendid collection of carefully assembled antiques. For pure relaxing pleasure, the second-floor chambers feature whirlpool tubs and fireplaces, and all five guest rooms offer a private bath.

Breakfast in the dining room is another journey into the past. The wonderful morning fare is served on circa 1851 tea-leaf patterned ironstone china. Some of the recipes are as old as the original inn. Take your time, eat heartily, and enjoy your trip to the roots of America. It will be a memorable experience.

"Old World Wisconsin," a unique outdoor museum of living history, is one-half mile from your door. About three miles west, you'll find the headquarters of the Kettle Moraine State Forest, Southern Unit. Both "Old World Wisconsin" and the Kettle Moraine State Forest offer miles of hiking and cross-country trails. Downhill skiing, sledding, horseback riding, biking, shopping, antique hunting, and golf, plus lakes for fishing, boating, and swimming are all nearby.
