The Inn at Cedar Crossing was built in 1884
at the corner of bustling Cedar and Cottage Streets (now Third
and Louisiana). This Inn and Restaurant features a brick
vernacular style and has seen more than a century of the
town's activity and growth. Throughout its history, Inn at
Cedar Crossing has occupied a tailor shop, an apothecary, a
soda fountain, doctor's offices, and a clothing store. Inn at
Cedar Crossing is the perfect spot offering a cozy base from
which to explore Door County or just relax and hideaway.
Accommodations at the Inn include a total
of nine inviting guestrooms, each with private bath.
Individually decorated rooms offer all the modern
conveniences, including wireless Internet access. Many of the
guest rooms feature a whirlpool tub or cozy fireplace or both.
In the morning enjoy homemade muffins and
scones and a full hot breakfast with a choice of two breakfast
entrées each day. Fresh baked cookies, coffee, herbal
tea, or fresh lemonade are offered each afternoon.
Inn at Cedar Crossing's restaurant serves
the widest variety of tastes in the area, including
traditional American foods, Italian and contemporary
offerings. The menus for breakfast, Sunday brunch, lunch and
dinner offer something for everyone's tastes. Chef Joel
Mathews and his staff prepare all menu items with care from
scratch and the on-site bakers are up early in the bakery
every day making breads, pastries and deserts.
