Country Cottage
As you enter this restored 1920's farmhouse, you will be
transported back in time. The decor is country elegance. The
burgundy parlor is complemented by the white wainscotting,
accented by a river-rock fireplace and antiques like the pedal
organ. As you pass through French doors to the dining room,
spectacular Pacific Northwest water views may be surpassed by
the hand-painted murals of the four seasons. Step out onto the
deck and you can feel the peaceful ambience emanating from the
gazebo, gardens, and parklike grounds.
All Country Cottage accommodations, each with its own unique
theme, provide bed and breakfast lodging along with private
entrances and baths, down comforters, TV/VCRs, complimentary
videos, CD/tape players, refrigerators, and coffee makers.
Three cottages each offer a Jacuzzi, fireplace, water view,
terry robes, hair dryer, and a private lattice-enclosed deck.
Anchor in the Captain's Cove, a cottage befitting any
seafaring soul, and set your troubles adrift. Soak in the
large Jacuzzi tub next to the garden window while enjoying a
crackling fire and your favorite video. Dramatic flair best
describes the decor in the Whidbey Rose, where you'll
find the elegance of a bygone era. Pinks, greens, and burgundy
floral accents will indulge all of your senses. Whether you
choose to view the fire from the oval Jacuzzi or nestled on
the love seat, this is the perfect romantic retreat.
Lynn's Sunrise, with its king-size bed and yellow
and green decor, is reminiscent of a sunny English garden. The
four-poster canopy bed in the Catalina Cottage is
accentuated by a casual beach motif. Both of these suites
offer a breathtaking water view from either the wraparound
porch, indoor sitting area, or queen-sized feather bed. The
newest addition is the Cabernet Cottage. Amenities
include a fireplace, king-sized feather bed, a Jacuzzi, VCR,
CD player, refrigerator, and microwave. The cottage has its
own deck with a swing and bistro table for an outdoor
breakfast. The indoor breakfast table, bed, and Jacuzzi have
great water views. |
After a cozy night snuggled in one of the comfortable
country cottages, you may choose a full, hot breakfast in the
dining room or have it brought to your cottage to enjoy in
total privacy.
The inn is just a four-minute walk to the village of
Langley. Fifty miles north of Seattle and via the Mukilteo
Ferry, the village of Langley by the Sea is the place to be on
Whidbey Island. Some of the special events you won't want to
miss are the Mystery Weekend in February, the Choochokam Art
Festival in July, and the Island County Fair in August. |
