The Inn at Rutland of Vermont is a distinctive 1889
Victorian Mansion which has been carefully restored to its
original elegant charm. 
The interior is rich with period architectural details, such
as the warm leather wainscoting in the dining room and the
leaded glass window over the formal grand staircase. The two
common rooms offer a comfortable atmosphere for reading or
just having quiet conversation sitting by the hearth. The
rocking chairs on the front porch provide a splendid view of
the town and mountains. The authentic Carriage house also
provides secure storage for your bicycles and all your ski
equipment. For the past eight years, The Inn at Rutland has
been voted "Greater Rutland's Best Bed and Breakfast"
by Market Surveys of America.
All eight guest rooms have been tastefully decorated to
recreate the past, while maintaining modern comforts. Each
room has a Victorian feel, carefully created with period
reproductions and antiques. A choice of rooms with king,
queen, or two full beds is offered for your stay. Two rooms
offer two-person whirlpool tubs, and one boasts a working
fireplace. All are decorated with designer linens and supplied
with plush towels. In the summer, all rooms are air
conditioned. Telephones, televisions, hairdryers, and clock
radios round out the standard room amenities.
A gourmet breakfast is also included with your lodging with
a specially prepared entree accompanied by a variety of
homemade baked goods, fresh fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, and
juice. Join your hosts each afternoon for tea and homemade
