  • Rates: Rates do not include Vermont 9% lodging tax and are subject to change without notice.
    Midweek Weekends and peak periods
    $100.00 - $130.00 $115.00 - $165.00
  • Payment: Deposit of 50% or 1 night's rate required. No credit cards. Personal checks are accepted.
  • Cancellation Policy: For Dartmouth Graduation Weekend, cancellation must be received by January 1. For holidays, special events (including Foliage, Christmas Week, Presidents' Week, GMHA events) and reservations of 2 or more rooms, cancellation requires 45 days' advance notice. Other occasions require 30 days' notice. Cancellations received after deadline are subject to a $20.00 service fee per room and the balance will be refunded if the room is resold. An unsold room deposit balance will be credited toward a future stay within 6 months, subject to room availability 10 days prior to arrival. A 100% charge applies if a change during the reserved period results in a vacancy.
  • Restrictions: Small pets with prior arrangement and approval (a small fee is assessed). No smoking (Ash trays are provided outside. When tobacco is burned in a guest accommodation there is a 25% surcharge.) Polite children, 6 and older, welcomed.
  • Special Request: Please bring comfortable slippers or soft indoor shoes, so your rugged outdoor shoes/boots can be removed at the front door.
  • Breakfast: Deluxe continental buffet. Waffles on Sunday's. Fresh fruit, fresh bread, hot muffins, pies and Vermont cheeses.
  • Special Recommended Recipe: Barbara's Fruitcake
  • Languages Spoken: Limited Spanish, limited French and English.
  • Special Events at Inn: Small weddings (under 25 people). Also, "Rent the Inn." Guests who wear slippers at breakfast are eligible for daily awards of Bailey Bucks, spendable at the Inn.
  • Recreation & Activities: Boards games and puzzles. Swimming pond and walking/snowshoeing trails. Porch swing and hammocks.
  • Attractions & Special Events: Woodstock village. Calvin Coolidge homestead. American Precision Museum. Okemo Ski Area. Ascutney Mountain Ski Area. Billings Farm Museum. Marsh-Billings National Historic Park. Saint Gaudens National Historic Site. Ten covered bridges. Vermont Institute of Natural Science.

  • Recommended Local Best Kept Secrets: View from the top of Mount Ascutney, Downer's covered bridge, Wood's Cider Jelly, and moose spotting on the Tyson Road.
  • Directions: From Woodstock, take Route 106 five miles to South Woodstock and another 5 miles to the Hammondsville Store, opposite Matteson Real Estate. (From Route 44, go north 2 miles on Route 106. If you see Whitmore Road, you went too far.) Turn west onto Bailey's Mills Road, passing old farms and homes both humble and polished. Follow 1 mile to a fork and keep right. We are the first driveway on the left, at the cemetery.
