Swedish Apple Pie

A real treat served in the morning especially during Fall apple season! Delicious served plain or in the evening with ice cream or whipped cream.

Ingredients

Apples, peeled and sliced (Granny Smith is my favorite)

1 Tablespoon sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1-1/2 sticks melted butter

1 cup flour

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1/2 cup chopped nuts

Pinch of salt

Fill a greased pie plate 2/3 full of apples. Sprinkle with 1 Tablespoon sugar and the cinnamon.

Mix together remaining ingredients. Pour over apples. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
