Llama
trekking
One of the favorite activities at the Inn
during the cooler months. Treks are two-hour hikes over
scenic, hilly terrain around the Inn using the llamas as
companions and for packing whatever gear is desired. One route
follows mostly wooded trails and a stream with multiple
waterfalls, while the other route explores the hilltop meadows
and offers great panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Basic trek: $25.00 per person for non-Inn guests
as space is available.
Sandwich Lunch: $7.50 per person (lunch must be
ordered 2-3 days in advance but no earlier and is available
only with treks in the warmer months) Saturday lunch is only
available to Inn guests staying two nights.
Cost for Inn guests staying two nights:
$12.50 per person for basic trek; lunch, $7.50 per person
(provided the trek is not taken the day of check-out, in which
case, it is $18.00) A trek with a one-night stay is closer to
an hour and costs $18.00 per person and no lunch is available
on the day of check-out. Maximum group size: 6 persons,
maximum number of children under the age of 10 is two, usual
minimum age is 8 years old. Please inquire for younger
children.

Swimming
The full in-ground swimming pool is one of
our favorite spots in the warmer months of May through
mid-October. Guests who take a llama trek often like to cool
off here afterwards. Evening four-course dinners served
poolside are part of a three-night package. After an evening
dip in the pool, guests love to watch the fireflies playing on
the hillside, watch the deer grazing, or just listen to the
crickets singing. |
