Frog Hollow Bed and Breakfast is a historic house
dating back to the 1800's in the beautiful Shenandoah
Valley. This Lexington, Virginia bed and breakfast inn was
completely renovated in 2001 to offer guests fresh and
comfortable lodging accommodations within a home decorated
with casual elegance. Feel free and discover for yourself
the unique and eclectic design elements -- mixing the old
with the new and the traditional with the whimsical --
which combine to make this farmhouse an interesting,
stylish, and friendly place.
Frog Hollow provides two guest bedrooms, one two-room
suite, and a private cottage, each with air conditioning,
a private bath, deluxe mattresses, and luxury linens. A
favorite with guests, The Cottage Room
features hand-painted furniture, wicker rockers, and a
picket fence headboard that lend whimsy to this
delightfully large bedroom. Heirloom lantern lamps,
antique pieces, and an iron bed in The Garden Room
combine dramatic hues and decorative flourishes. The
Tolley Suite offers elegant warm and neutral tones
plus a sunken living room with color television and VCR.

In the midst
of History
Just five minutes from the interstate highways and 20
minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Frog Hollow is by itself
on a charming country road only two miles from downtown
Lexington.
The location is very convenient to the shopping and
dining offered in the Historic District as well as to
Washington and Lee University, Virginia Military Institute,
and the Virginia Horse Center.
Greenhouse Road is part of the original Turnpike into
Lexington, and Frog Hollow is the scene of the Civil War
action called The Assault on Lexington at the foot of Hunter
Hill, where cannons were placed and fired into VMI on June 11,
1864.
Your hosts, David Jimenez and John Loomis, invite you to
feel at home at Frog Hollow Bed and Breakfast. They are well
prepared to serve your needs and hope to make your stay,
whether for business or a special occasion, memorable. |
