Spring Grove Farm Bed and Breakfast is a
two-hundred acre Virginia plantation that has been fully
restored to its 1842 condition, with compatible wings for
additional facilities and modern amenities.
Eleven rooms and suites and a cottage are
available, each with a private bath and plenty of luxurious
charm. Guest accommodations may include a Double Jacuzzi tub,
steam shower, and/or fireplace. The Dogwood Cottage can sleep
up to four people and has a kitchenette.
Sixteen restored fireplaces warm the public
areas and your room in cool weather. Central heat and air
conditioning were added during restoration for your year round
comfort.
Enjoy your choice of a continental or full
breakfast served in the dining room, breakfast room, sun room,
or on the terrace. You can choose to dine at small tables for
two or mingle with other guests at larger tables. Breakfast is
served from silver serving pieces using fine china and
flatware. The farm organically grows many of the fruits and
vegetables that are served in season.
Play the grand piano in the parlor or
carriage house, watch old or new movies in the media room via
satellite TV, hike over Springs Grove Farm's two hundred
acres, or just relax on the many porches and decks that take
in the lovely country vistas.
Spring Grove Farm is also a beautiful place
for weddings. A large terrace and a ballroom offer space for
dancing, while large garden expanse can accommodation your
wedding guests. |
Visit the area's plentiful historic
Civil War sties, including the town of Appomattox, where the
war ended. There are also numerous museums and cemeteries.
Jefferson's Poplar Forest is nearby, as well as many Virginia
wineries and opportunities for antiquing and playing golf.
The Blue Ridge Mountains run through this
area, with the breathtaking Blue Ridge Parkway and the
Shenandoah National Park. Less than an hour away you will find
Monticello - Thomas Jefferson's Home, Ash Lawn - James
Monroe's Home, Red Hill - Patrick Henry's Home, or you can
travel Lee's Retreat from Petersburg to Appomattox. |
