Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1/2 cup cocoa

1 cup sifted flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup pecans, chopped

1/2 cup Nestles Toll House chips

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add cocoa. Blend well. Mix in flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold in nuts, chips and vanilla. Spread in greased 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 28 to 32 minutes, or until top is crusty and brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan.

Yields: 2-1/2 dozen brownies
