Wildflowers Bed and Breakfast is an 1891 Victorian home surrounded by quaking aspen, blue spruce, and yes, wildflowers.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this delightful lodging accommodation sits amid homes of old Salt Lake City, Utah. Guests will be warmly welcomed by Cill Sparks, a retired nurse administrator, and Jeri Parker, an artist and writer. In their careful restoration, the owners have kept the delights of the past and added the comforts of the present.

Hand-carved staircases, stained glass windows, clawfoot bathtubs, balconies with spindle bands, original chandeliers, a modern kitchen, a deck, and a fireplace make up the present Wildflowers. Period furnishings and elegant Oriental rugs add simple elegance to the home. There are also original oil paintings throughout the house that are for sale. Choose from five individually decorated lodging accommodations, each equipped with a private bath. The third-floor suite can accommodate four and has full kitchen facilities.

In the summer, breakfast is served on the deck. In winter, the view from the dining room includes red holly berries under snow-laden pines. Wishing to bring as much of the country as they could to the city, the owners surrounded their home with wildflowers. Beneath the spruce and aspen, columbine, lupine, wild geraniums, meadow rue and coreopsis flourish.

Located five minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, the Inn is conveniently near tennis, swimming, and golf. Thirty minutes or less will take you to seven wonderful ski areas.

The University of Utah, Westminster, Red Butte Gardens and Arboretum, Hogle Zoo, Mormon Temple Square, Hansen Planetarium, Utah Art Museum, The Great Salt Lake, Liberty Park, and Sugarhouse Park are all nearby.
