Congratulations! The search for your dream vacationing spot is now over. Everything you've ever wanted in a Bed and Breakfast is at The Columns on Alamo, located in the historic King William District of Texas.

The Columns on Alamo was established by innkeepers Ellenor and Art Link in their gracious 1892 Greek Revival home and the adjacent 1901 guest house.

All rooms feature Victorian charm and romance. Luxuriate in your private baths (some Jacuzzis for two), and your choice of a king- or queen-sized bed. The choice of accommodations is varied from a beautiful four-poster queen-size bed, a Victorian renaissance bed, a "Railroad Baron" wood king-size bed, or French Victorian wood king-size bed for a luxurious nights sleep. All guest rooms have in-room television and telephone plus exquisite antiques. A cottage with weekly rates is also available.

Just imagine waking up in the warm morning and walking through out onto the verandah, or picture yourself looking out at your romantic view of downtown. Common areas are provided in both houses and on the landscaped grounds. A full breakfast of eggs or quiche, assorted breads, muffins, cereal, juices, fresh fruit, yogurts, tea, and coffee is served in the main house daily from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. Continental breakfast is also available at 7:00 a.m.

The Columns on Alamo offers off-street parking, and the downtown trolley stops just a half-block away.

Within easy walking distance are the Riverwalk, The Alamo, the Convention Center, Southtown Restaurants and Shops, La Villita, and Rivercenter Mall. You can also take a short drive to the Spanish Mission Trail, the San Antonio Alamodome, Sea World, and Fiesta Texas. The many new golf courses and great older ones make this a golfer's destination city. Your innkeepers are available to suggest excursion itineraries, dining and shopping adventures, and cultural and seasonal events unique to San Antonio.
