The Outpost Inn at Cedar Creek is an 1880's artfully restored German farmstead on a quiet, secluded country road, five minutes from Round Top, Texas. The compound of unique and historical structures sits in the middle of 51 acres of hay meadow with gently rolling hilltop views.

The structures have been restored using every piece of extinct wood and every abandoned treasure found on the property. The recycling and bed and breakfast story has been featured in "Cowboys & Indians", "Country Home", "Home Companion", "Southern Living",and "The New York Times." The natural beauty of the prairie has been enhanced with hundreds of species of native plants and shrubs. You'll find a garden pathway for every season and a porch for every mood.

After breakfast, there's plenty to do. Spend your day bird watching, playing golf, antiquing, biking, hiking, taking a long walk down the country road, or just reading a good book. Classical concerts at the Festival Institute and the Shakespearean theatre in the Barn at Winedale are just a couple of things you'll find to do in town. You can watch the sun go down and then stare at the stars at night.

Casita Bungalow, the most popular room, is a private Italian/Mexican inspired "little casa" with Jacuzzi whirlpool tub for two, a walk-in shower, a private terrace, wet bar, and queen-size iron poster bed.

Prairie Cottage is an antique structure with an Eastlake queen-size bed in a "shabby chic" room with a kitchenette and a whirlpool tub.

Tejas Log Cabin features vintage Texas trappings and has been featured in "Cowboys and Indians" magazine. It has a queen-size bed, bunk beds and private bath with claw foot tub.

Victorian Guesthouse, an 1840's guest house, is nestled in a rare loblolly pine park. The house has a large parlor with satellite TV, two bedrooms (queen size & double beds), a large bathroom with an old claw footed tub / shower, a den/dining room and a large, fully equipped kitchen.

The Main Inn Suite, two large rooms sharing a large hunting and fishing bathroom with a shower stall and old claw-footed bathtub. This suite comprises the whole upstairs, along with a private balcony porch for evening sunsets.

Barn Cottage, a unique batten barn with a water tower and cistern atop, becomes a romantic suite with a queen bed and private bathroom with old claw-footed tub and shower. A private terrace and an English cottage garden complete the suite.

Colorado Log Cabin is an early 1800's oak cabin with a queen-size bed, bunk beds and private bathroom with claw foot tub. The mountain rustic decor is enhanced with a stone fireplace.

Shelby Guesthouse, a restored 100 year old dogtrot house, has a downstairs bedroom with a four poster queen-size bed and bath with claw-footed tub and separate shower stall. The attic loft has 3 twin beds and a bathroom with claw-footed tub. A full kitchen and large deck with grill complete your accommodations.

Lincecum Log Cabin, a historic log cabin belonging to an early Texas naturalist, authentically restored with a fireplace in the sitting room, porch post queen bed, whirlpool tub for two in the bathroom & a kitchenette
