Bussey's Something Special, in business since 1993, is
indeed different. Reminiscent of a small guest house, the
emphasis is on comfort and relaxation. The rooms are decorated
with turn-of the-century Early American decor and have a small
kitchen, bedroom, and bath with whirlpool tub and shower. This
is great for intimate getaways for couples. The second room,
Cajun/Cowboy Retreat, has a decor of weathered wood and
ceramic tile accented nicely with magnolias and wildflowers.
This also is ideal for intimate evenings.
The cozy cottage sleeps two adults, with room for two small
children available; its king-size bed has a feather mattress
and comforter. The Cajun/Cowboy Bunkhouse sleeps two with a
queen bed with fiberfill mattress and comforter to help the
allergy sufferers, electric fireplace and twin size sofa bed.
All rooms have kitchen/kitchenettes and wireless Internet
access. The Continental Plus breakfast is complimentary. Each
Room has its own specialized entrees. Sweetheart packages are
available for those special occasions. Your hosts live on the
premises.
Please feel free to browse and find just about anything you
might need. Dishes, utensils, pots and pans, fruit, candy and
eggs, orange juice, milk, and even sodas are provided. A
variety of coffees and teas are there to delight your palate.
There is a toaster, microwave, and coffee maker as well as hot
chocolate, creamers, and sugars for all. There is even hand
lotion under the sink! Just look around and remember that this
is your home-away-from-home! You are invited to leave the
dishes and cleaning to your hosts; they also refresh the rooms
daily for extended stays. Just relax on your own private front
porch!
Your hosts enjoy having special guests like yourself stay at
their guest house. They wish you a warm welcome and pray that
you have a wonderful time in Glen Rose. |
Your hosts invite you to make yourselves at home. There is a
clock radio to keep up with the time, news, or music. Feel
free to enjoy the use of all that you find. Books, magazines,
puzzles, games, and bed-time story-books for all ages are
available. All cottages have a radio that resembles a antique
Radio, as well as wireless Internet access.
There are many activities for guests in the Glen Rose area,
located in the heart of the River Highlands with the Paluxy
River meandering gracefully nearby.
The area has a little known artist colony with shows and
exhibits throughout the year. Enjoy Celtic festivals, Blue
Grass music, and many out door and river activities.
There are also equestrian shows, dog shows, concerts,
rodeos... far too many to list them all! Horse stables are
about 6 miles from the Inn. Just call and see what is going on
this week! |
