Alexander Bed and Breakfast Acres includes a three-story, six-bedroom Queen Anne home plus a two-story, three-bedroom Guest House and a new one-bedroom Country Cottage, both suitable for vacation rental lodging.

All of these buildings are nestled peacefully in the woods and meadows on 65 acres just south of Whitesboro, Texas, between Lake Texoma and Lake Ray Roberts. Retreat from the busy stress of everyday life by unwinding in one of the rocking chairs on the wraparound porch. Or, you can take a leisurely stroll in the woods, relax in the swimming pool, stargaze from the hot tub on the back deck, or view the moon from the gazebo.

Five uniquely decorated guest bedrooms with private baths are available on the second floor of this majestic home. Room with A View has a wood-burning fireplace and six bay windows nestled around its queen-sized bed. Canopy Room is Victorian in style with its canopied queen-sized bed and rose-colored glass beaded lamps. The King's Court is a lovely, regal room with a king-sized bed centered among five windows. Two comfortable chairs allow guests to have cozy conversation, or the TV/VCR/DVD/SAT will play entertainment late into the evening. A luxurious two-person Jacuzzi finalizes any romantic evening before you fall asleep in this secluded room.

Cowboy Quarters is a Texas favorite with bandana curtains and borders over blue wood plank wainscot. A colorful puff quilt bedspread accents a handmade black wrought-iron queen-sized bed with Texas centered in horseshoes on the head and footboards for a fun and fanciful favorite. The Amish Room is quaint and simple in style with its rich pine flooring, handmade quilt, and Amish tapestry wall hanging.

The third-floor Tree Top Suite is decorated with antiques and international treasures from time living overseas. The suite has two sitting areas with a TV/VCR/DVD/SAT as well as a coffee bar with a microwave, mini-sink, mini-refrigerator, and coffeemaker. There is a queen-sized bed in one corner window alcove and two futon couches which make into double beds in two other window alcoves. The suite is ideal for a couple wanting a private romantic getaway or friends who want to share a room.

Tucked away in the woods is a two-story Guest House with air conditioning and heating as well as a romantic wood-burning stove. A large screened porch offers hammock and easy-chair lounging. Downstairs, a large living/den area offers a queen sofa bed for extra sleeping accommodations, laundry facilities, and a half-bath. Upstairs, a large bath serves three private bedrooms. A fully equipped kitchen provides the opportunity to prepare a nighttime smack or a full course meal. The Guest House is perfect for families with children, business planning sessions, retreats, secluded romantic getaways, and extended stays.

The heated and air-conditioned Country Cottage is a secluded, sunny one-story bungalow tucked in the woods just a short walk from the hot tub, swimming pool, and gazebo of the Main House. Enjoy the covered porch, which spans the full length of the cottage, while watching for deer or bunnies crossing through the beautiful woods. A cozy kitchen is fully equipped for any couple to prepare their own meals with the food they bring. The one cozy bedroom has a queen-sized bed and full bath. The living area has a queen-sized sofa bed and loveseat along with a TV/VCR/DVD player and a stereo system with cassette and CD capability.

Guests at the Main House will be delighted every morning by a full country breakfast of traditional favorites and hot, homemade rolls, served in the dining room or brought directly to your room for "cocooning."

After a delicious meal, venture off to the many sites and attractions available to you in the area. Golf, boating, waterskiing, and fishing are a few of the many activities at nearby Lake Texoma and Lake Ray Roberts.

Festivals, antique shops, rodeos, the largest outlet mall in North Texas, and wineries are yours to peruse. After an adventuresome day, take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool or relax in the large hot tub. Enjoy the 65 acres of walking trails for a peaceful jaunt in the evening.
