Ingredients:

1 package brown & serve sausage patties

1 loaf French bread

1/4 pound Muenster cheese

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1 Tablespoon sugar

Prepare sausage as directed, drain well. Cut bread into 1-1/2-inch slices on diagonal. Cut pockets in each slice from top crust to side crust but not all the way through. Place Muenster cheese slices and sausage in pockets. Press together. In a 9 x 13-inch baking dish, beat eggs, milk, and sugar together until blended. Place filled bread slices in egg mixture, turning to coat both sides until all moisture is absorbed. Cook on hot griddle about two minutes or until both sides are golden brown. Serve with warm maple syrup.
