The Heritage Inns
are three Historical Landmark Houses that sit side by side
just a short walk from the historic Denton Courthouse Square.
These AAA-rated Inns
in Denton, Texas, part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex,
provide a relaxed, gracious atmosphere for your time away from
home.
The Redbud Inn is a
Jacobean-style house built in 1910. Purchased and refurbished
by your hosts, Donna and John Morris, their labor of love has
brought them many memories and a wonderful group of new-found
friends. This house offers five guestrooms, each reflecting an
individual decor. The Brass, Wicker, and Oak Rooms
along with the the Walnut and Country Suites
combine thoughtful lodging accommodations with convenient
amenities. All have private baths and queen beds, and two have
fireplaces. Outside, the wide porch and gazebo provide a
beautiful setting for weddings, receptions, or just relaxing
on the porch swing or glider. Miss Myrtle's Room features a
king bed and a whirlpool tub on the ground floor with a
private entrance.
Originally built in
1902, The Magnolia Inn was renovated and added to the Redbud
Inn in 1995 to create Denton's first Bed and Breakfast Cluster
group. Upstairs in The Magnolia Inn you will find two luxury
suites. The Magnolia South Suite features a bedroom
with queen-sized bed, a full bath with clawfooted tub and
shower, and a large sitting room with cable television, gas
log fireplace, and a Murphy bed. The Magnolia North Suite
is very similar and now has a two-person whirlpool tub.
The Pecan House, the
most recent addition to the Heritage Inn Bed and Breakfast
Cluster, was built in 1916 and was part of the original Hoard
Farm. Here you will find four comfortable lodging
accommodations. The Regency Suite is the place to
treat yourself to sheer elegance. Enjoy a warm fire while
soaking in the two-person Jacuzzi tub or snuggling on the soft
sofa. Grandma's Room, located on the first floor, is
handicapped accessible. The extra-large bathroom has a walk-in
shower. The Sleeping Porch, entered through an
enchanting sitting room, also features a fireplace and
two-person Jacuzzi as well as a private balcony overlooking
the pecan trees. Willy Loman's Room is designed for
today's business traveler and is available for long-term stays
with kitchen privileges.
Each morning, an
ample breakfast is served in the dining room, with homemade
breads and traditional Texas favorites. On lazy Sunday
mornings, you will find the house's specialty, Double
Chocolate Banana Muffins, waiting outside your door with a pot
of freshly ground coffee. A decadent and delicious brunch
follows at 10:00 a.m. |
Exceptional Italian
cuisine can be found at Giuseppe's Italian Restaurant,
occupying the first floor of the Magnolia Inn. Robust Northern
Italian and Classic Southern French Cuisine are offered at
moderate prices in a gracious, Victorian atmosphere. The
private banquet room seats 35 to 55 people, with a balcony and
patio dining available.
A wealth of Denton
festivals are held just two blocks away at the Civic Center
Park. Or stroll down to the Historic Court House Square for
antique shopping, browsing through the Courthouse museum, or
drinking a chocolate malt at the ice cream parlor. Afterwards,
you may enjoy a candlelight dinner on the balcony of the
Magnolia or in the charming gazebo, making sure not to miss a
relaxing, post-dinner soak in the hot tub!
Just four blocks
away from Texas Woman's University and minutes from the
University of North Texas, The Heritage Inns are ideal for
visiting families or prospective students. Take in an evening
of jazz at UNT, renowned for its jazz program. Your stay at
The Heritage Inns provides a personal and memorable touch you
will keep with you for years to come. |
