Each suite in this Round Top bed and breakfast comprises a
bedroom, an adjoining sitting room and a private bathroom with
shower. The original log cabin area creates massive bedrooms
which are further accentuated by the vaulted tin ceilings,
evoking the early frontier days. Yet the opulent and elegant
furnishings are reminiscent of the finest European hotels. The
sitting rooms each offer a double-size whirlpool tub as well
as a gas log fire place, day-bed, trundle bed, refrigerator
and microwave. Bathrooms include spa quality organic shampoo,
conditioner, body wash, body lotion and hand soap. Hair dryers
are available on request.
Known for their attention to detail, you will find an
arrangement of fresh flowers, homemade brownies, a selection
of fine European chocolates and candies as well as choice
teas, Starbucks coffee and other beverages in your room.
Breakfast is what a lot of guests talk about too. Your hosts
scour the markets for new and wonderful items to bring to the
buffet table, from interesting breads (" if we can’t
find them, we bake them ourselves"), to exotic
fruits. Although Marilyn and Bernard serve primarily
vegetarian food, they have occasionally been able to find some
truly excellent Scottish smoked salmon. Fruit juice is
squeezed to order for that special tangy taste that tells you
it’s fresh. In short, a healthful and satisfying way to
start a new day. |
