Sugar Hill Retreat Bed and Breakfast is a restored early 1900's farm house that was moved from the farming community near Oldenburg where it had served as the residence of the Henry Eilers Family, to Carmine in rural central Texas.

This main house provides a choice of four spacious bedrooms each decorated in themes from that era. Two full baths serve the needs of guests, giving them the choice of showering or bathing in the luxury of the claw-footed Victorian tub. It's all comfortably controlled with central heat and air.

Overnight guests are served full breakfasts prepared on sight and served in the dining area. Space is adequate for small luncheons or brunches with meals served from the country kitchen or catered for special occasions.

Located in a secluded setting, this cottage at the farm will sleep up to six and is fully furnished. The lake provides a fishing opportunity, while the woods are perfect for exploring.

Carmine is located in northwest Fayette County on U.S. 290 between Brenham and Giddings. Even though the population is small, the city provides a city park, local stores and services, and numerous antique shops.
