About: Artist Jennifer Parker

Jennifer Parker leads us into the innermost worlds of flowers with her collection of vivid botanical photographs. Using a 25 year old camera, Jenny captures the essence of each of her botanical subjects, allowing light and shadow to play together with purpose. The colors, whether bright or subtle, suggest a deliberate and harmonious connection to the form.

"I have approached flowers with an artist's eye all my life, moving from pencil to pen and ink from botanical illustration to macro botanical photography. Flowers are so exquisite in their simplicity, but to catch them in the right moment, at the right angle and in the right frame unravels layers of splendor, elegance and mystery you didn't realize were there before."
