Highland Place Bed and Breakfast is a 1911 Colonial Revival Mansion located in the Highland Historic District of Jackson in the heart of West Tennessee. The Inn offers four elegant guest rooms, expansive public space, and an eclectic collection of Southwest art and American handmade crafts.

Recently redecorated and refurbished, the mansion features several antique French country pine armoires and chests matched with huge, soft silk-covered sofas and modern leather casual lounge chairs. There's individual seating in the dining room and a wood-burning fireplace in the cherry-paneled library. Enjoy yourself on the breezy Plantation Porch or stretch out in the supremely comfortable bed in your room. Listen to jazz or classical music, watch a movie, or take a walk through the neighborhood.

Highland Place offers four large guest rooms, each with private bath, 100% cotton linens and cozy robes, cable TV with a host of movies, VCR backed by the Inn's library of great hits, and stereo with a selection of music CDs. The sleeping rooms, named for one of the families who previously owned the home, are quite different from each other, though similar in theme and equal in luxury. Indulge yourself a double-headed shower, whirlpool bath, or clawfoot soaking tub.

At Highland Place, breakfast is almost as enjoyable as the beds! On weekends and holidays, a full gourmet breakfast is served with fresh brewed coffee and a selection of teas, along with fresh fruits, perhaps with a bit of yogurt, and a plate of pancakes or waffles or French toast or eggs.... Breakfast here is a combination of your choice and a la Cindy's whim. Weekdays is Continental...unless you tell Cindy and Bill that you want the "full treatment."

Highland Place also serves dinners for their guests upon prior request. It's perfect for special occasions -- honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, business meetings, and more. Cindy and Bill grill your entree and complete a special five-course dinner package prepared just for you. Former guests have said that they're among the best in town!

Located in Jackson's North Highland Historic District, Highland Place Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of a number of interesting homes. Lambuth University, one of four universities in the Jackson area, is just a couple of blocks west, with Lane College just to the east, and Union University a couple of miles north. University sports events and the Oman Arena, home of the NAIA basketball tournament and other sporting and special events, are within walking distance. Jackson is home to great restaurants, theatres, an astonishing art gallery, antique and mall shopping, historic sites, and recreational facilities.
