Lodging, Cooking, Entertainment ... A web site celebrating the
good life! |
| The
Western Region of Tennessee is surrounded by the Tennessee
and Mississippi Rivers that strongly influence all that goes
here. From river boats tours, to country and soulful music,
historic architecture,
bed
and breakfast inns, and literature and natural
wonders, you will find American music culture. If you come
to Memphis to visit Graceland and pay homage to the Elvis
Presley, king of rock, you will find an array of things to
do, great food to taste and places to be. Don't miss Stax
Museum of American Soul Music and the famous Beale Street
Historic District.
Golf
is very popular in this part of the country as well as
fishing
along the river. See one of only three covered bridges
remaining in Tennessee, the Trimble Covered Bridge built in
1904. Natural wonders include the Tennessee River, the
Mississippi River, Reelfoot Lake, Kentucky Lake and the
Tennessee River Freshwater Pearl Farm. Civil War grounds and
the National Civil Rights Museum offer day trippin for
history buffs. |
