Pistachio Pie

Ingredients

1-1/2 cups flour

1/4 cup chopped walnuts

1-1/2 sticks softened margarine or butter

One 8-ounce package softened cream cheese

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup powdered sugar

1 cup Cool Whip whipped topping

2 small boxes instant pistachio pudding

3 cups cold milk

For the first layer mix flour, walnuts, and butter. Spread in a 13 x 9 inch glass pan. Bake at 350 degree 20 to 30 minutes.

Second layer mix cream cheese, vanilla, powdered sugar and one cup whipped topping. Beat well and spread over first layer. Put in refrigerator and let set for one hour.

Third layer, mix instant pudding with milk. Mix till dissolved, spread over second layer. Top with remaining cool whip, nuts and cherries.

This makes a great desert for the holidays as it's done in green and with red cherries, looks very festive and is very delicious. (You may substitute chocolate or lemon instant pudding or any other of your choice).
