Forever Favorite Fudge Frosting

Grandma "Phoenia" Jeffries taught me to make this frosting when I was about 10 years old. I have always liked to bake and started at a very young age. My family says "If it isn't chocolate, it isn't dessert!" This is delicious chocolate frosting. Everyone fights to "lick" the pan. Tastes like fudge!

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup Hershey's cocoa

1/3 cup milk

3 cups confectioners sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Melt butter in saucepan; stir in cocoa until smooth. Add milk and mix until smooth. (Keep heat LOW to avoid scorching.) Remove from heat and add sugar a little at a time, working quickly, beating until smooth and glossy. Add vanilla. Frost cake while warm. Frosting sets up fast and makes a glazed-look shiny frosting. (Frosts two layers or 1 sheetcake.)
