Come relax in the
appealing, home away from home atmosphere at Merhaven Bed No
Breakfast in charming Charleston, South Carolina. Located
downtown in historic Harleston Village, Merhaven is a causal,
lovely place to stay.
A 1920's arts and
crafts bungalow, the Bed No Breakfast offers two spacious
rooms with ten foot ceilings, lots of windows, hardwood
floors, and beautiful, comfortable decor. The guestrooms share
a pleasant bathroom, but are not connected. A large, lush
courtyard is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the soft,
coastal air after a delightful day touring, shopping, or
playing on the beach. Tables, chairs, and a comfy chaise
lounge are situated near the old pecan tree, which will shade
you while you sip your favorite drink, or enjoy a mid-day
snack.
Delightfully
decorated in beautiful, refreshing hues, two airy and pleasant
accommodations with a shared bath grace the cozy home.
Hardwood floors, ten foot ceilings, and lots of windows make
the two rooms especially pleasant and offer (according to D.P.
of Chorleywood, England), "a welcomed relief from the
normal hotel." A private entrance and off-street
parking is also provided. Rooms are available as a suite, upon
request. There is a refrigerator for whatever goodies you
might want to bring from home. Delicious, organic coffee and
tea service is available every morning.
The Cypress
Room is a large room with queen bed, daybed and
trundle bed - all made up with the finest linens. Three large
windows overlook the beautifully landscaped courtyard. It is
nice for a couple with two children or for three to four
friends traveling together. Organic coffee and teas are
offered in room. The Jasmine Room is a large
corner room that offers one queen bed and one twin daybed.
Five windows make this room bright and cheery year round.
Both rooms feature
hardwood floors, ceiling fan, and windows that easily open to
let in fresh air also. Other amenities include cable
television, wireless Internet, and a small refrigerator. The
two rooms share a bath with tub and shower. |
Relax in the hammock
in the lovely, tree shaded courtyard and enjoy the soft, sea
air. Merhaven is truly a home away from home.
A short ten minute
walk finds you in the heart of the downtown shopping district
with myriad gourmet restaurants, spectacular art galleries,
and several city parks. Walk to the Battery or the famous
Market area, or enjoy a house or garden tour.
A quick, 15 minutes
drive will take you to several, beautiful beaches.
Spoleto Festival and
Bridge Run participants love to stay here!
The Inn is also very
convenient for visitors to the Medical University of South
Carolina and to the College of Charleston. |
