Built in Charleston's richest days in 1843, it was later renovated by architect John Henry Devereaux in 1870 for Col. Lathers. In 1874 this grand mansion was purchased by Mr. Hastie's great-great grandfather, Andrew Simonds. You will experience here the historic, romantic, and unforgettable charm.

In each of the 11 quiet rooms, you will find an inviting and cozy bedroom interior. Soft pillows on queen sized beds and terry robes and towels are just a few of the luxuries provided for your comfort. Friendly staff. Easy on street parking. Evening wine.

In addition, a silver tray continental breakfast is served daily with the morning newspaper, either in your room or under the Lady Bankshire rose arbor.
