Breeden Inn, just 20 minutes off I-95, serves as a favorite
halfway stay for those traveling between New York and Florida.
This National Register 1886 Beaux Arts Southern mansion also
offers a truly memorable bed and breakfast experience for
those on their way to or from Charleston, Hilton Head, Myrtle
Beach, Savannah, Pinehurst, and Raleigh.
Built as a wedding gift to the original owner's bride, the
manor still retains its historical integrity while pampering
guests with the most luxurious of appointments and modern
conveniences.
The Inn's lush three acres are certified by the National
Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Five
welcoming porches with swings, rockers, and ceilings fans lend
themselves to a relaxed southern atmosphere at Breeden Inn,
enhanced by charming picket fences, hammocks, and koi ponds.
You are transported to a time when life moved at a much slower
pace -- a time when the most simplistic was treasured. This
idea has been preserved at Breeden Inn and promises to adorn
your stay.
The interior of Breeden Inn holds many well-preserved
architectural features, including original light fixtures, 14
fireplaces, and stained, beveled, and leaded glass. Wood plays
an important part, with unpainted oak and pine flooring,
ceilings, and wainscoting throughout. Explore the riches as
you enter through pine, oak, and stained glass archways.
Period artwork, needlepoints, and beautiful collectible
potteries will capture your interest and inspire your
imagination.
A full, delicious breakfast is served in five elegant
settings at the Main House mansion. Choose to be seated at
larger tables to chat with fellow guests or choose a more
intimate breakfast experience at individual tables in the
dining room, the music parlor, the library parlor, the
breakfast parlor, or on the wraparound veranda.
The Inn is situated in its own village-like setting, lending
itself to both all-inclusive relaxation and activity. The four
houses are connected by winding garden walks. Sun or swim at
the Inn's in-ground swimming pool, play various board games
inside, swing under the shady magnolia, or nap in one of the
several hammocks. Complimentary bikes are available for
exploring the town.
Golf and tennis are within one mile of the Inn. Golfers will
also appreciate lovely Cheraw State Park, less than 20 minutes
away, with Pinehurst and Southern Pines within an hour of the
Inn and Myrtle Beach 1-1/2 to 2 hours away. Nearby Lake
Wallace offers several walking trails. Plunder the many
antique, collectible, and gift shops that dot the area.
Several historic tours are also available, including the
Bennettsville Downtown Walking Tour.
Come...experience Southern hospitality, a great night's
sleep, and a delicious breakfast at Breeden Inn. |
