Built in 1914, The Moore Farm House Bed and Breakfast is
located in Conway, South Carolina, only a few minutes from
Myrtle Beach. Continuing a long tradition of warm hospitality,
the inn provides pampering amenities as well as the comforts
of home on the Carolina Coast.
Innkeepers Cathy and Harry Pinner have kept the history of
the inn alive by retaining the original bedroom floors as well
as the stately staircase while updating the plumbing and
electricity and adding private baths to all lodging
accommodations. Each of the four rooms is named for the Moore
family daughter who once occupied them. In-room amenities
include air conditioning, bath robes, ceiling fans, radio
alarm clocks, and armoires hiding the cable TV with DVD
player. Three rooms feature desks and a high-speed Internet
connection. Two rooms also boast whirlpool tubs, and one has a
his-and-her shower.
Common areas of the home are equally as cozy. Join Cathy and
Harry for good conversation or a movie in the living room, or
select a good read from the well-stocked library, where you
can also enjoy a friendly game of pool with fellow guests. In
the dining room, you will savor a delicious gourmet breakfast
every morning, designed especially for you by our executive
chef. A daily hot entree is accompanied by fresh seasonal
fruit, an assortment of scones and pastries, cold cereals,
juices, and coffee and tea.
Located only 15 miles from Myrtle Beach, Conway boasts a
history rich in tradition as well as the tranquility of a time
gone by. Built along the banks of the Waccamaw River, through
streets lined with 100-year-old live oak trees covered by
Spanish moss, Conway offers many activities. The River Walk
stretches along the banks of the river and includes parks,
wooded walkways, dining spots, and local markets. At the local
marina, you can go on a riverboat cruise or rent a canoe or
pontoon boat. Brookhaven Gardens, with tickets available at
the bed and breakfast, and La Belle Amie vineyard are treats
for the eyes and tastebuds. |
Bustling Myrtle Beach offers a radically different
experience from Conway. Spend your day on the golf course,
stroll along the white sandy beaches, shop at Barefoot Landing
or the outlet malls, or take in a show. After a delightful
dinner at one of the many restaurants on the beach or back in
Conway, return to the Moore Farm House for some evening
relaxation and a peaceful night's sleep. If it all seems
overwhelming, ask Harry or Cathy for some suggestions. They
will be glad to help you and make any necessary arrangements.
If your travels take you along the South Carolina coast or
you are looking for a murder mystery weekend, ladies' weekend
retreat, romantic getaway, or home away from home for your
family reunion or wedding, make a reservation to enjoy warm
hospitality, elegant accommodations, and memorable breakfasts
at the Historic Moore Farm House. |
