Ingredients:

2 Tablespoons zest with juice from orange or lemon

3-1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup sugar

1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 handful raisins

3/4 pound iced butter

3 eggs

1/2 cup half & half, soured with orange juice

Mix zest with flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and raisins. Cut butter into dry ingredients; mix until just crumbly. Combine 2 eggs and half & half, add to dry mixture. Beat until just mixed. Shape into palm-sized lumps of dough on cookie sheet. Brush with third (whole) egg. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.
