Specialty Recipe

Brownies

Ingredients:

4 eggs

1 cup butter

2 cups sugar

3/4 cup walnuts, broken up

4 squares chocolate

1 Tablespoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup flour

Sift sugar and flour together. Melt chocolate and butter together. Add sugar and flour gradually to well-beaten eggs. Stir until well mixed, then add salt, vanilla, and walnuts broken into small pieces. Stir in the melted butter and chocolate and pour into an 8 x 12 inch well-buttered and slightly floured pan. Bake in a very slow oven for 45 minutes at 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Permit batter to stand for approximately 1/2 hour and cut into squares.
