License Requirements:

Motor vehicles must be registered and drivers licensed. The minimum age for driver's license is 16 years. Persons learning must have a learner's permit and may drive only under the supervision of a licensed driver over 18 years of age and who has been licensed at least one year.

Speed Regulations:

Speed governed by safe driving conditions. Speed is 25 mph in business and residential districts; 50 mph during daytime and 45 mph during nighttime in other areas. On interstate highways, speeds up to 55 mph are permitted. Posted speed in zoned areas are legal limit and must be obeyed.

Stop for School Busses:

When approaching, from either direction, a school bus which is stopped to discharge or take on school children, a vehicle must be stopped and remain stopped until the school bus resumes motion or until signalled by the bus driver to proceed, or until the bus' flashing lights go off.

Right Turns at Red Light:

Permissible after full stop and then proceeding with caution unless indicated by signs.

Accident Reports:

Every accident must be reported to the nearest state or local police officer. Accidents involving injury to persons or damage of over $200 to the property of any one person must be reported to the Registry of Motor vehicles.
