Chez Taj is a 1890s greystone townhouse located in Montreal's fun Latin Quarter in the downtown east side. Your Montreal-born hostess Marian formed Montreal's first Bed & Breakfast Association and has hosted thousands of travelers and congress goers in her own home and network ever since. She gets great pleasure in receiving people from all over the world and bringing them together at the breakfast table.

Nothing is too much trouble. Marian knows her city well and will help you with restaurant suggestions and reservations, sight-seeing ideas and tours, car rentals, and taxi service. Flexible breakfast times and varied menus, including juice, fresh fruit, assorted breads, yoghurt, and cereals are served in the guest dining room. A fridge is also available for your use.

Chez Taj B&B has been recognized by the City of Montreal and Heritage Montreal for the preservation of its original character. Original hardwood floors and woodwork, super high ceilings, stained glass, ornate mouldings highlight the graceful era of the home. Bright and tastefully decorated, many guests declare "a feast for the eyes," as they enjoy the artifacts Marian has collected from her world travels..

Chez Taj B&B is located in the fascinating Latin Quarter within walking distance of Old Montreal. The B&B is two blocks from the fabulous rue St. Denis with its cafes, international restaurants, theatre, and boutique shopping. Check out St. Louis Square and the pedestrian street Prince Arthur; continue to Blvd. St. Laurent ("the Main") which divides the city east/west. Walk to all the Summer Festival sites. Enjoy cycling? The cycle paths are one minute away. The subway station Berri-UQAM (le Metro) is just steps away.
