• Open: All year. The use of Bischwind, its guest rooms, common rooms and grounds are for registered house guests only. We look forward to having you and we are committed to providing the best in food, service and ambience.
• Accommodations: 6 rooms and 2 suites, each with private bath. 8 rooms have fireplaces or electro fire unit, 3 have Jacuzzi Brand whirlpool tubs, and all have king or queen beds. All rooms provide hair dryers, flat-screen cable TV, and VCR; some have mini-refrigerator, central air, shampoo, herbal bath grains, lip balm, shower cap, luxurious terry spa robes, and more. Bischwind offers WiFi Internet access, complimentary DVD library and popcorn! Guests may help themselves to Spring Water and Hot Tea available throughout the day and evening. The English Family also offers a Separate Vacation Rental.
• Rates: $145.00 to $245.00 per room, per day, double occupancy, plus tax and gratuity. All rates are subject to change without notice. Rates are confirmed at time of booking.

  Minimum stay on major holidays and certain weekends.
• Deposit / Payment: All reservations are billed electronically when they are made. A one night deposit is required at the time of reservation with the remaining balance due upon arrival. Confirmed reservations require an inclusive one night payment at the time of reservation. If combining midweek rate with weekend rate, the highest room rate will be charged. Select weekends, major holidays and special packages require payment in full at time of booking and are non refundable if cancelled. No personal checks are accepted for payment upon arrival.
• Cancellation Policy: A 1 week (7 day) cancellation notice prior to the first day of arrival is required in order to receive a refund less a $25.00 processing fee. We do understand that unfortunate circumstances arrive, including weather conditions which may cause you to cancel your reservation. We recommend trip insurance, as our cancellation policy is firm.
• Check-in: After 3:00 p.m. and no later than 9:00 p.m. (unless arrangements made with Bischwind). Check-out: 11:00 a.m.
• Restrictions: No smoking in house. No pets. Children 12 and over welcome.
• Breakfast: An elegantly served gourmet country breakfast in four fabulous courses featuring sausage and bacon. Bischwind is still offering its guests the choice of filet mignon, salmon or shrimp scampi for breakfast with a $10.00 per person surcharge plus tax and gratuity. Guest may help themselves to Spring Water and Hot Tea available throughout the day and evening.
• Recommended Favorite Recipes: Nana's Fried Tomatoes, ... Apples Wrapped in Phyllo Leaves, and Charlie Trotter's Quick Apple Dessert.

• Directions:
  From New York: Route 80 West to Exit 284, Blakeslee/Wilkes Barre. Take 115 North toward Wilkes Barre. After 1 mile, you will come to a 4-way light; continue straight on Route 115 North. In approximately 10 miles, you will come to a second traffic light; continue straight for another 1.6 miles. Driveway will be on the right (driveway entrance has 2 stone pillars with domed lights).
  From Philadelphia: Take Route 476, Northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to exit 105, Bear Creek. Turn right onto 115 South. Bischwind will be 3 miles on your left.
  From Southern Cities (Baltimore, Washington, Harrisburg): Go north on Route 81 (toward Wilkes Barre); take Exit 170A (Bear Creek). Take Route 115 South. In 4 miles, you will pass the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the right; continue straight for 3 miles. Bischwind will be on the left after the waterfall.
  From Connecticut and points East: Take Route 84 West (Scranton), then take Route 81 South. Take Exit 170A (Bear Creek). Take Route 115 South. In 4 miles, you will pass the Pennsylvania Turnpike on the right; continue straight for 3 miles. Bischwind will be on the left after the waterfall.
