Boundless activities await you in Eagles Mere. Guests of the
Inn have access to the private Eagles Mere Lake and the
two-mile Laurel Path, which encircles the lake past streams,
boulders, and caves to the the Old Fashioned Beach and Boat
Club. In the summer, swimmers, sailboats, and canoes ply the
lake. In the winter, the lake is the scene of the famous
Toboggan Slide and ice skating.
Nineteen rooms and suites await your arrival at the Inn,
each individually decorated with antiques and reproduction
pieces. No two rooms are identical at this bed and breakfast,
each featuring a private bath, unique furnishings, and special
touches to make you feel at home.
Guests are awakened to the alluring aromas of a full country
breakfast each morning, offering traditional breakfast
favorites as well as fresh coffee and juices.
After a relaxing day in the area, return to the inn for a
sumptuous five-course gourmet meal. Dine on delicious entrees
such as Roast Prime Rib, Pork au Poivre with apples and leeks,
or Trout with lime butter and pink peppercorns. Finish your

Enjoy the hammock or lawn chairs on a sunny day, or relax in
a rocking chair on the porch facing west. Guests frequently
gather in the living room with a sofa and selection of chairs,
small library, and a cozy fireplace. The Pub, open to the
public on Friday and Saturday evenings, is always open to
guests, offering games, puzzles, and plenty of tables and
booths. An area in the bar has a fireplace, television and
VCR, and couches -- a great place for conversation, watching a
must-see game, or enjoying a nightcap.
Natural Beauty
Much of the land and forest surrounding Eagles
Mere is protected by the Eagles Mere Nature Conservancy. They
maintain miles of trail for hiking and a nature center.
Cross-country skiing is available as well. Visit one of the
several nearby state parks, natural gorges, and canyons, with
Rickett's Glen State Park featuring 22 waterfalls from 11 to
94 feet high. Tennis and golf are also close by.
