| The
Willamette Valley was the finale destination for thousands
of pioneers who came across the Oregon Trail. This rich and
verdant valley flanked by the Coast Range and the Cascades,
is nourished by the river of the same name. Historic cities
and towns, settled more than a hundred years ago by
emigrants from all over the world, are found throughout the
region, but the area is perhaps best known for its diverse
agriculture, which includes all kinds of vegetables, fruits,
flowers, herbs, nuts, hops, and Christmas trees. The valley
is becoming well known for its wines and vineyards and many
visitors come to taste and eat their way through the valley.
Eugene- Springfield make up Oregon's second largest metro
area. Located along the Willamette and McKenzie Rivers
Eugene and Springfield contain a dynamic mix art galleries,
theater, shopping, restaurants,
bed
and breakfast inns, sports and entertainment. Outdoor
adventurers many want to take white water rafting trip on
